What are some natural remedies for Mastitis?
Early motherhood is already a rollercoaster and adding mastitis into the mix can leave a new Mum feeling pain whilst battling the negative thoughts of whether they can continue breastfeeding or not. Approximately 10% of lactating women will experience mastitis and it is important that we hold space to create awareness and share natural tips of how to manage this painful condition!

These delicious vegan lactation cookies are packed with nutrients to boost milk supply for new Mums!
Here is the easy recipe:
¼ cup flaxseed meal
½ cup water
1 cup coconut sugar
1/3 cup coconut oil, melted and cooled
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ⅔ cups oat flour
¾ cup old fashioned rolled oats
¼ cup brewer’s yeast
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon salt
2/3 cup cacao nibs
Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
In a bowl, mix together flaxseed meal and water; let it sit for 5 minutes to make a “flaxegg”.
After 5 minutes add the melted and cooled coconut oil, coconut sugar, and vanilla extract; whisk together until smooth.
Add in the rolled oats, oat flour, baking soda, brewer’s yeast, cinnamon and salt. Mix until well combined. Mix in cacao nibs.
Roll into 20 balls and very gently push the top of the cookie down to flatten.
Bake cookies for 10-13 minutes until slightly golden brown.
Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 10minutes before transferring to a cooling rack for another 10 minutes.
